Machining & Processing

Plasmajet has its own fully equipped machine shop, specializing in the finishing of coatings, repairs of precision parts, and the machining of new components. Our focus is on cylindrical grinding, turning, milling, and precise post-treatment of sprayed or welded layers. All processing is done in-house, which guarantees fast turnaround times and maximum quality control.

How Does the Process Work?

After a coating or hardfacing treatment, the component often needs to be reground or machined to the correct size. Plasmajet has a dozen grinding machines that can produce complex geometries with high precision. We also regrind hardened components that come back from the hardening treatment.

For specific applications, we work with profiled molding blocks, fully tailored to the end result. Thanks to our large stock of grinding stones (ceramic, CBN, and diamond), we can switch quickly, even with hard or abrasive layers such as carbides or ceramics.

Other machining operations (such as turning, boring, pressing, honing) are also carried out in-house, possibly in combination with coating or cladding processes.
